Tait Communications is seeking a skilled Intermediate Technical Author to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will create, develop, and maintain high-value post-sale and client-facing publications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical documents that enhance the user experience and reinforce the competitiveness of our brand.

The Role

Te Tūranga - The Role

  • Develop, review, and publish technical publications that meet the needs of users and clients.
  • Assist in creating standardised documentation plans for projects.
  • Contribute content during development phases and ensure completion within assigned timeframes.
  • Manage version histories and electronic change orders for documentation.
  • Actively improve technical authoring standards, processes, and tools while sharing knowledge with the team.
Ō pūkenga - About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in technical writing. As well as:

  • Experience with technical writing tools such as Madcap Flare (preferred) and Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices and processes.
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence in building effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • A passion for sharing knowledge and a desire to continually grow expertise in related domains.
