Job description

Simpson Grierson is looking for an experienced intermediate/senior commercial & projects solicitor to join the team in our Wellington office.

About Our Team

Our high functioning commercial team handles diverse work, with a focus on projects in the infrastructure, transport and energy sectors (including large scale renewable developments) and commercial contracting for a range of public and private sector clients. Members of our commercial team also have the opportunity to work on significant M&A projects alongside other corporate work such as JVs and capital raisings. Our corporate/commercial national practice group operates across 3 offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and we place an emphasis on team members having the opportunity to work on transactions across the group. This role offers fantastic quality work, and the opportunity to build solid client relationships with a variety of corporate and government clients.

About You

We are seeking a lawyer with ideally 5+ years' strong, relevant commercial experience from a reputable firm, particularly experience in infrastructure and projects. You'll have excellent communication, written and analytical skills and will be self-managing and efficient, with a willingness to turn your hand to the varied work in our practice. You’ll be keen to grow your career, taking on interesting, first-rate work, building your practice and profile, with the support of a cohesive, supportive team of specialists.
