Intermediate Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Hamilton. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in mechanical design who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work on a variety of projects across sectors, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mechanical solutions while developing your leadership and project coordination skills.

Ko wai koe | About you

You are a motivated and collaborative mechanical engineer with 3-7 years of experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design, ideally within a consulting environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, working in multi-disciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable building solutions.

You Bring

  • Experience delivering mechanical HVAC designs from concept through to construction.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Carrier E-20, IES, Bluebeam, and Revit.
  • A good understanding of relevant industry standards such as CIBSE or ASHRAE.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand building codes and seismic design requirements (preferred).
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
