Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an Intermediate Engineer to design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions. You will guide a team of engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to production support and on-call activities.

You will work across Java, J2EE, Spring, Oracle technologies, REST/SOAP services, and modern tools in a dynamic, hybrid work environment with ongoing learning opportunities and leadership growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.
• Strong programming and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using a variety of tools including Java, J2EE, Spring, Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic, SOAP and REST web services, Vue.JS, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Red Hat Linux, and DevOps.
• Support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
• Willingness to participate in the application support and on-call roster is preferred.

Intermediate Engineer

Performs hands-on software engineering activities, including solution design, development, code review, testing, and production support, while providing technical leadership. Coordinates delivery activities, resolves technical challenges, and works closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role

Other Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
