Job summary

Bonisch Consultants Ltd in Invercargill is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our team for end-to-end involvement from design through to construction supervision on land development and civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

You will work with a team of ten engineers, including Chartered Professional Engineers, applying Civil 3D and producing technical reports while managing design and procurement documentation. A strong client focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ civil engineering experience, ideally in consultancy.
• Proficient with Civil 3D and adaptable to new software.
• Ability to write technical reports and manage design/construction complexity.
• Experience with NZS3910 contracts and CMCA on active projects.
• Strong time management and relationship-building with clients and councils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver investigation, planning, and design of civil roading and 3 waters systems.
• Provide end-to-end involvement from design through construction supervision.
• Coordinate project and job management with a team of engineers.
• Prepare procurement documents and technical reports.

With an ever-growing workload and strong pipeline of projects, we're seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our Invercargill team.

This role offers the opportunity for end-to-end involvement, from design through to construction supervision, working alongside a strong team of ten engineers, including three Chartered Professional Engineers, on a diverse range of exciting land development and civil infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand.

The requirements of the role is flexible to suit the successful candidate, but may include the following:

Working in collaboration with our wider team to deliver investigation, planning, and design of civil roading and 3 waters systems for both private development and public infrastructure. This will include completion of technical design, plan production, technical reports and procurement documentation.

Construction Management and Contract Administration (CMCA) on active projects, generally working as Engineers representative to NZS3910 contracts.

Project and job management.

To be successful in this role you will also:

Have at least 5 + years working experience, ideally within a consultant or contracting environment.

Be technically capable with the ability to write technical reports and deal with complexity in design or construction.

Be proficient in the use of Civil 3D, or the demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software skills.
