Job summary

Recruit IT Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a 6-month contract in Auckland Central with 3 days onsite per week. You will lead a project team across three agile squads, own the plan, reporting, and risks, and act as the liaison between engineering, product, and business to ensure delivery is on time and aligned to business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years delivering complex technical projects, plus API-led and event-driven integration experience, and a strong agile

• Proven API-led and event-driven integration project experience (include this in CV).
• Strong agile delivery background (hybrid or waterfall a plus).
• Budget and financial tracking across the project lifecycle.
• Confident reporting to senior leaders and C-level.
• Web, cloud, or SaaS delivery experience.

Technical Project Manager

• 6-month contract, Auckland Central

Our client is mid-flight on a major integration programme and needs an experienced Project Manager to pick it up and carry it through to operational handover. The platform is in place and interface development is well underway, with around 80 integrations in the process of being built. This is a delivery-focused contract for someone who can read a programme already in motion, get up to speed fast, and keep momentum without missing a beat.

You’ll lead a project team of three agile squads (developers, testers, technical leads, a product owner, an architect, and a scrum master), acting as the key liaison between engineering, product, and business. Expect to own the plan, the reporting, and the risks, keeping delivery on time, in scope, and aligned to business outcomes.

You’ll need:

• 8+ years delivering complex technical projects and leading cross-functional teams
• Proven experience with API-led and event-driven integration projects (please ensure this is included in your CV when submitting)
