Job Description:
- Responsible for the maintenance of all instrumentation under the direction of the I&C Supervisor, acting proactively and maintaining a high standard of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, so that they are carried out technically efficiently, in compliance with schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, ensuring that all Instrumentation are operational and preserved for the assigned unit.
- Carry out or supervise 3rd party employees in all maintenance and inspection related to the Instrumentation discipline, in order to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery in the unit, as well as emergency equipment, thus contributing to the production and revenue target achievement.
- Contribute to an effective response to emergencies on board by being part of the Emergency Response Team, participating in all trainings, simulations and acting properly in a real situation, in accordance with MODEC's procedures, guidelines, as well as national and international regulations and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of MdB fleet performance by participating, when requested, RCAs, investigations of NOIs/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up CAPAs, sharing lessons learned.
- Contribute to enhance MODEC's Preventive Maintenance procedures, by constantly evaluating maintenance activities and seeking improvement opportunities, providing technical input following MODEC's Maintenance Philosophy, manufacturer recommendation, and personnel experience.
- Ensure that functional test of the instruments is completed according to MODEC Standard and on time, performing the activity according to the work Order instruction (which is attached in the Work Order) and closing the Work Order in CMMS system with all relevant information clearly provided.
- Ensure Work Orders are duly closed and detailed information is filled out in CMMS, following the appropriate templates, after the completion of every instrumentation work onboard, by updating the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Constantly feedback from the execution with the I&C Supv.
- Contribute with the perfect functioning of the instruments, reporting deficiencies and malfunctioning, discussing and analyzing technical and spares issues with the I&C Supervisor as well as proposing solutions for the weak points using the technical knowledge and experience to elaborate technical reports whenever requested by I&C Supervisor and/or Onshore technical support teams.
- Support the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), when required, by providing to the I&C Supv information about resources, replacements, services and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities.
- Know, enforce, and ensure full compliance of corporate requirements for safety in installations and services, NR-10, NR-13, NR-30, NR-37, ABNT NBR IEC 60079, IEC 61892, ANSI/ISA 5.1, other related statutory, regulatory, flag and class requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical Degree is required, bachelor’s degree of discipline-specific Engineering is a competitive edge.
- Technician I/II/III: Minimum 2/4/7 years' overall experience is expected;
- Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is a competitive edge.
