Job summary
OceanaGold is seeking an Innovation Development Engineer at Macraes Mine in Otago, NZ. You will join the Metallurgical team to drive process improvements through digital information, providing technical guidance and reasoning to operations and maintenance for optimizing plant performance.

Qualifications
- Degree in Metallurgy / Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent.
- Two to five years’ experience in mineral processing or industrial processes.
- Experience with PI integration with MATLAB is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Review process control configurations to improve circuit/equipment performance.
- Develop and maintain LIVE mass balances on Asset Intellect/PI Vision for each circuit.
- Assist process plant teams with troubleshooting and metallurgical investigations.
- Monitor plant parameters to identify risks or opportunities for innovation.
- Review existing metallurgy, maintenance and operations sheets to automate with Asset Intellect/PI Vision.
- Serve as site PI System and Asset Intellect administrator and developer contact.
- Optimize plant data collection (reagents, power, water, etc.).
- Utilize PI Analytics & MATLAB to improve business operations.
