Job summary

The H W Richardson Group Ltd is a family-owned business based in Southland, operating across New Zealand and Australia with diverse interests. We are seeking an Injury Management Lead to provide leadership and specialist expertise across injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes, supporting managers, Health & Safety, HR resources and our third-party administrator.

This full-time role (40 hours/week) is based at 25 Esk building in Invercargill’s CBD, with a remuneration

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in health, rehabilitation, injury management or related field.
• Minimum of five years' relevant injury management/ACC claims experience.
• Knowledge of ACC legislation and return-to-work principles is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to contribute to reporting and audits.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with digital systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and specialist expertise across injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes.
• Oversee workplace injury claims, rehabilitation and ACC Accredited Employer Programme requirements.
• Support injury management practices across the Group and guidance to managers, Health & Safety and HR resources.
• Collaborate with third‑party administrator to achieve timely, sustainable recovery and return‑to‑work outcomes.
• Contribute to quality reporting, continuous improvement and staff wellbeing programs.

We are seeking an Injury Management Lead to provide leadership and specialist expertise across our injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes.

This is an important role supporting managers, Health and Safety, HR resources and our third-party administrator to achieve timely, sustainable recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

You will provide oversight and guidance across workplace injury claims, rehabilitation and ACC Accredited Employer Programme requirements, while supporting injury management practices across the Group.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What we're looking for

• Health, rehabilitation, injury management or related tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of five years' relevant experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation, ACC claims management or a related field.
• Sound knowledge of ACC legislation, rehabilitation and recovery-at-work principles, with ACC Accredited Employer Programme experience highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to contribute to quality reporting, audit activity and continuous improvement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence using digital systems.
