Job summary

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the delivery of its infrastructure programme across Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. You will lead procurement planning, sourcing and commercial advice within the Commercial Delivery team to drive value-for-money outcomes on major projects.

You will develop fit-for-purpose procurement strategies, manage end-to-end sourcing for lower-complexity procurements, undertake market analyses and supplier engagement, and help

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement within a large, complex organisation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure procurement and delivery models.
• Experience supporting negotiations across infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen considering cost, risk and market factors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and advisory skills.
• Customer- and delivery-focused mindset with continuous improvement.
• Formal qualification or equivalent; CIPS desirable.
