Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

We're looking for an Infrastructure Build Manager to take the lead in shaping and delivering some of our most complex and high-value network programmes. In this role, you'll provide the structure, governance, and leadership needed to drive large projects from initial business planning right through to customer connection.

As a trusted leader, you'll create an environment of collaboration and accountability, working closely with Network Deployment Managers, regional service teams, and partners to identify challenges and implement smart, sustainable solutions.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience

You'll be an experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering large, complex network or infrastructure projects. With deep operational knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and lead diverse teams, you'll bring the right balance of strategic oversight and hands-on delivery focus.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • At least 7+ years' experience in operational and/or deployment of networks
  • A strong background in contract and project management
  • Managing partner performance
  • Deep understanding of telecommunication or utility network operations, including provisioning, restoration, maintenance, and build
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability in financial and commercial management with sound judgement
  • Strong leadership and people management capability, including building collaboration and managing diversity
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, negotiate, and communicate effectively at all levels
  • A track record of delivering results under pressure, showing accountability, energy, and adaptability
  • Customer focus - ensuring solutions are aligned to end-user needs and long-term service outcomes
