Job summary

Synechron seeks an Information Security Consultant (Cyber/Cloud) in Auckland, NZ. You will drive cloud security design, risk assessments and secure DevSecOps practices across CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with Security Architects and DevOps teams.

You will apply threat modelling, compliance controls and IaC/container security to align with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks and AWS Well-Architected principles. This role champions secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Security across IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring and controls.
• Significant experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD security testing and vulnerability management.
• Solid knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security principles, including threat modelling and incident response.
• Experience with Security Architecture, cloud security assessments and secure design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), container security and automation.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across Security Architects, Cloud Architects and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Strong hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Security, including IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring, and cloud security controls.
