Job summary

Alignz Recruitment – Hamilton, North Island is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our established engineering and manufacturing team in Hamilton. The role focuses on setting up and operating CNC milling machines, programming for a variety of jobs, reading drawings and orders, and delivering precision components to spec.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of your work and contributing to a professional workshop environment with modern equipment and

Qualifications

Proven experience as CNC Machinist, especially CNC milling.
Strong general engineering and machining knowledge.
Ability to program, set up and operate CNC machines.
Good reading of engineering drawings and job orders.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision and ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
Programming machines for a variety of jobs.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job orders.
Selecting tooling, speeds, feeds and machining methods.
Carrying out setups and making adjustments as required.
Producing precision components to required tolerances.
Using measuring and inspection equipment to check finished work.
Troubleshooting machining and production issues.
