Fluid Recruitment is partnering with an established NZ organisation to recruit an experienced lawyer for a broad, commercially focused role. You will provide practical legal advice across commercial, contractual and corporate matters and work closely with senior decision-makers.

You’ll take ownership of complex work, navigate legal and commercial risks, and help drive key business initiatives across the organisation. NZ-qualified with strong commercial judgement is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a New Zealand-qualified lawyer with strong commercial judgement.
• Experience in-house or advising commercial clients in private practice.
• Ability to manage complex matters autonomously and balance priorities.

I'm working with an established NZ organisation looking for an experienced lawyer to join its team in a broad, commercially focused role. About the Role

Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll provide practical, commercially minded legal advice across a varied range of matters. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of complex work, support important business initiatives and help stakeholders navigate legal and commercial risks.

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Providing practical legal advice across commercial, contractual and corporate matters.
• Supporting complex negotiations and helping the business make informed commercial decisions.
• Identifying and managing legal, commercial and regulatory risks.
• Working closely with teams across the organisation on projects, partnerships, supplier arrangements and other business initiatives.
• Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and external advisers.

About You

You’ll be an experienced New Zealand-qualified lawyer with strong commercial judgement, a pragmatic approach and the confidence to provide practical advice in a business environment.

• Strong experience in commercial law, contract negotiation and risk management.
• Experience working in-house or advising commercial clients in private practice, with an understanding of business priorities and commercial outcomes.
• The ability to manage complex matters, work autonomously and balance competing priorities.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and building effective relationships across a business.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• A solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in understanding the wider business context.
