Job summary

HealthCare NZ is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join its in-home and community-based care team in Paeroa. You will support clients with daily living, meal prep, personal care, and social activities.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, good communication, and may have healthcare qualifications or NZ driver’s licence. Police vetting and right to work in NZ are required.

Qualifications

• Empathy and a positive attitude toward helping others.
• Strong communication and flexibility for varied schedules.
• Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• Having a full NZ driver’s licence is essential for most roles.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and nutrition support.
• Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.) and daily living assistance.
• Medication support and reminders as directed.
• Mobility assistance including bowel care, manual handling and hoist transfers.
• Home management tasks and coordinating community outings.
