Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
• Spinal injury experience
• Stoma Management experience
• Experienced in the use of a full, standing and two-person hoist
• Experience administering prescribed medication
• Love working with people and helping them thrive
• Be willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters for each person
• Have experience in or exposure to caregiving, disability support, aged care, community work, or otherpeople‑facingroles
• Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
• Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs
• Own a smartphone
• Have the right to work in New Zealand
• Full/restricted driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful, and person-centred support in people’s homes, mindful of culture, values, beliefs, routines and boundaries
• Support daily living activities including palliative care, bowel care, dementia, mental health and medication
• Maintain culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
• Engage in structured induction, ongoing training, refreshers and development pathways
