Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern in Wellington Central invites an Analyst to provide analytical support across Primary and Community portfolios, turning complex data into clear insights to inform planning, investment and service decisions.

You will work with senior analysts to develop repeatable tools, visualise data, and communicate findings to varied audiences, with a strong focus on equity for Māori and other communities.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and experience scoping, extracting, collating and analysing data.
• Strong analytical capability with experience using Power BI, SQL, Excel, R or similar.
• Ability to develop repeatable analytical tools and data visualisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to Primary and Community teams; turn complex data into clear insights for planning, investment and service decisions.
• Work with senior analysts to scope requirements, develop repeatable tools, analyse and visualise data, and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
• Contribute to service design early with evidence‑based, equitable models of care, focusing on Māori health equity.
