Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Dunedin is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support nurses and the care team in a busy clinical environment. The role is primarily based in Intensive Care Unit / Te Puna Wai Ora, with potential to work across areas, and is 0.4 FTE (32 hours per fortnight) on a fixed-term contract until October 2027.

You will assist with patient care, supervision, ward maintenance and one-on-one care as required, with rostered and rotating shifts.

• Experience in health care environments or caring for others.
• Be well organised and have excellent communication skills.
• Be motivated, flexible, with enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate initiative and high standards of practice.
