Job summary

Vessev is building hydrofoiling electric vessels and expanding a new capability in hydrofoil systems. The Mechanical Engineer will own mechanical design and analysis for the foil system, balancing strength, weight and performance while coordinating with design and production teams.

You’ll prototype complex assemblies, perform structural analysis and simulations, and contribute to production-ready solutions using CAD, FEA and CFD tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing mechanical components and systems, analysis and optimization.
• Understanding of mechanical design from prototyping to production.
• Understanding of aero/hydrodynamics and fluid-structural interactions.

Responsibilities

• Own hydrofoil systems design and analysis to optimize strength, weight and performance.
• Prototype complex assemblies and validate designs against load cases.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Validate design decisions through onboard sensors and data analysis.
