Job summary

Tend Health is a New Zealand–owned primary care provider redefining how mental health care is delivered. We invite Health Improvement Practitioners (HIPs) to work in-clinic or online across the motu, partnering with GPs and other health professionals to deliver brief, evidence-based assessments and interventions that support patient well-being.

This hybrid/remote role welcomes clinicians from nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, addiction practice, or counselling backgrounds,

Qualifications

• Fully registered health professional under HPCA Act 2003 with a scope appropriate to mental health and addictions.
• Experienced clinician, including those working in acute mental health settings, able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous development and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based clinical assessments and interventions for individuals as they work towards well-being.
• Deliver brief, consultation-based services to general practice team members and patients, in-clinic and via online modalities.
