You will develop detailed drawings, construction documentation, specifications, and schedules, and collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and fit project objectives.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience as Architectural Technologist on commercial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit essential.
• Strong knowledge of South African building codes and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Good communication and hybrid collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant building materials and systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Develop construction documentation, specifications, and schedules.
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, national standards, and local bylaws in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical), and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of tender packages and construction administration.
• Research and specify building materials and systems.
• Utilize CAD software effectively for drafting and modeling.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during the design and construction phases.
• Contribute to the development of sustainable design solutions for commercial buildings.
