HVAC Maintenance Technician – Ductwork & Systems

Job summary

Jora New Zealand is recruiting three Maintenance Technicians to support clients in the Canterbury Region. The role focuses on air conditioning maintenance, installation, and associated ductwork tasks.

You will work with qualified engineers, measure and replace parts, and ensure compliance with the Site-Specific Safety Plan. A Level 4+ qualification or two years of relevant experience is required, with good physical fitness.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude relevant to assembling and diagnosing HVAC components.
• Physical fitness to lift machinery and tools.
• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Fitter for Air Conditioning Maintenance and related systems.
• Work with clients following Mechanical Engineering Drawings to lay out ductwork and components; clean/repair as needed.
• Measure corroded sections, cut and fit new sheet metal, possible welding.
• Inspect fan coil units and perform filter maintenance.
• Install and commission new air conditioning systems including exhaust systems for toilet, general, and kitchen areas.
• Supervise other staff when assigned and comply with Site-Specific Safety Plan.
