KingsGate School seeks a learning area kaiārahi to lead the humanities and service learning area for Years 7–13. The role involves shaping curriculum, strengthening junior-to-senior pathways, and supporting teachers in designing purposeful learning and assessment within a Christian school community.

You will lead curriculum development, foster inclusive practice, and help grow senior humanities courses that are rigorous and relevant. Experience in learning area leadership is an advantage.

Formación

• Experience leading curriculum development across a wide year range.
• Strong understanding of NCEA and assessment practices.
• Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, whānau and leadership teams.
• Commitment to service learning and community impact.

Responsabilidades

• Teach an agreed humanities programme across Years 7–13, adapting to staffing needs.
• Contribute to school life and uphold KingsGate’s Christian special character.
• Develop senior humanities courses aligned with student aspirations and pathways.
• Support teachers with curriculum design and assessment practices.
