From simple beginnings over 30 years ago in Whangarei, we have now grown to include dealerships in Hamilton, Auckland, Palmerston North, Napier, Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru, and Dunedin. We have over 380 loyal and passionate staff providing the best service to our customers.

We are on the lookout for a Human Resources Advisor to join our team either in Christchurch OR Auckland, and who can hit the ground running working closely with our down-to-earth, highly trusted leaders in both our business units - Keith Andrews and Fuso NZ. You will join the team as an additional HR Advisor and be the local go-to for all things HR - providing coaching, employment relations advice, system support and hands on generalist guidance to a diverse group of managers and teams scattered throughout New Zealand.

This role is a varied role with plenty of scope for autonomy and development. You'll need to be curious, capable, people-smart and not afraid to pick up the phone, get stuck in and build strong relationships right across the country. Travel will be required along with the ability to multitask and assist with other team functions such as recruitment and Health & Safety when required.

What you'll be doing:

• Maintaining current HR policies, procedures and processes ensuring company compliance and assisting with developing new and additional practises
• Giving advice on workplace relations, performance management and disciplinary matters
• Coaching leaders and influencing positive people outcomes
• Being a part of a collaborative team culture

What we're looking for:

• Solid generalist HR experience
• Confidence in coaching and supporting ER processes
• Good judgement, pragmatism and emotional intelligence
• Developing, reviewing and maintaining Job Descriptions
• Immigration NZ exposure specifically compliance with Work Visas and Job Tokens
• Excellent communicator - both written and verbal
