Job summary

VetSouth invites applications for a senior Hub Manager to lead our Balclutha, Milton and Clydevale clinics. You will shape the South Otago Hub, align regional strategy with clinic-level delivery, and work closely with clinical, operational and functional leaders to turn plans into results.

You will drive people leadership, push for strong commercial outcomes, and guide growth while maintaining high-quality veterinary services for rural communities across New Zealand.

South Otago is entering an exciting new stage of its development.

Our business across Balclutha, Milton and Clydevale has grown significantly, supported by a committed local team and strong connections with the rural communities we serve.

We are now establishing South Otago as a standalone VetSouth Hub, with dedicated local leadership to support its future. The appointment of our first South Otago Hub Manager is an important first step.

We’re looking for a commercially minded people leader who can help establish the new Hub, build on what is already working and shape how South Otago develops from here.

This is a senior leadership role with genuine breadth. You’ll lead through others, take ownership of Hub performance and work closely with clinical, operational and functional leaders to turn strategy into results.

What you will do

As Hub Manager, you'll provide overall leadership across our Balclutha, Milton and Clydevale clinics and be the key connection between the South Otago Hub, the wider VetSouth region and Comhla Group.

• Lead and develop a high-performing Hub leadership team.
• Take ownership of the Hub’s commercial and financial performance.
• Translate regional strategy into clear plans and measurable Hub outcomes.
• Partner with clinical leaders to deliver strong people, client, clinical and business outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen services, improve performance and support sustainable growth.
• Lead change and help establish South Otago as a strong, connected Hub.

You will have:

• Experience in a multi-site, service-based, healthcare, veterinary, rural or agribusiness environment would be advantageous, but we’re more interested in your leadership capability and potential than your sector background.
