Job summary

VetSouth is seeking a Senior Dairy Veterinarian to join our Winton, Southland team. The role focuses on hands-on production animal work, including scanning, calving and herd health, while building trusted relationships with local dairy farmers.

You will contribute to reproductive, mastitis, lameness and on-farm health planning, collaborating with a close-knit team to support farm clients throughout the season.

Qualifications

• BVSc (or equivalent) + eligible for NZ registration.
• 3+ years' production animal experience.
• Confident communicating with farmers and working as part of a close team.
• Someone who adds to the culture, not just the roster.
• Hungry to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on production animal work including scanning, calving, farm visits and herd health.
• Develop and maintain client relationships as a trusted advisor to progressive dairy farmers.

we are after an experienced production animal veterinarian who enjoys getting out on farm and doing the work that matters - from pregnancy scanning and calving through to herd health and building client relationships to being a trusted advisor to progressive farm clients.

Based in Winton, right in the middle of one of New Zealand's most productive dairy regions, you'll work alongside a tight-knit, experienced team who back each other in and out of the clinic.
