Job summary

Lactalis New Zealand is seeking an experienced HSE professional to join our site teams. You’ll collaborate with leaders and frontline staff to strengthen health, safety and environmental performance in a fast-paced operation, covering manufacturing, process safety and supply chain, and you'll contribute to national HSE projects.

You bring at least three years’ practical HSE experience, a NZ health and safety qualification, strong coaching and communication skills, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• At least three years’ practical HSE experience in FMCG or high-risk environments.
• Recognised New Zealand health and safety qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, investigations, audits and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen HSE ownership with operational leaders and workers through practical, risk-based solutions.
• Monitor live HSE events and lead investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Facilitate risk assessments and verify critical controls across high-risk work and contractor activities.
• Coach leaders and frontline teams to translate HSE requirements into practical site practices.
• Support environmental, energy and regulatory compliance with inspections and corrective-action follow-through.
