About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping operations at our apartment-style hotel in Queenstown. This role requires strong leadership, operational knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams.
  • Ensure consistent quality control, cleanliness standards, and guest satisfaction.
  • Create and manage staff rosters, allocate daily tasks, and ensure efficiency in high turnover operations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Assist in recruitment and hiring processes for housekeeping staff.
  • Manage linen, supplies, and cleaning stock.
  • Liaise with the Body Corporate units and Marsden-managed rooms to coordinate housekeeping and maintenance requirements.
  • Handle guest requests and urgent situations, including on-call duties when required.
  • Work closely with the Front Office team to align room readiness with arrivals/departures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in housekeeping.
  • University degree or equivalent in hospitality advantageous.
  • Valid New Zealand First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage staff, train teams, and handle recruitment processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing housekeeping operations in apartment-style properties and high turnover environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Property Management Systems such as Opera Cloud, Room Master, or Newbook.
  • Proven ability to oversee operations.
  • Fluency in more than one language (preferred languages include English, Mandarin, Spanish, French, or German) to assist with our diverse guest and employee base.
  • Experience in Front Desk operations is highly desirable, as this role may occasionally be required to cover Front Desk shifts.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning and hospitality management practices.
  • Ability to perform under pressure
