Job summary

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau is seeking a part-time Health Care Assistant to support the Burns, Plastics and Paediatric team at Middlemore Hospital. You will assist with personal care, kitchen programmes, mobility and exercise activities, and help manage equipment and stock.

A current HCA Level 4 qualification is preferred, with good communication and time management skills at the core. Experience in a therapy assistant role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to take directions and good communication skills.
• Health Care Assistant qualification level 4 (preferred).
• Previous experience in a therapy assistant role (preferred).
• Good time management and ability to juggle clinical and non-clinical workloads.
• Computer skills.
• Sewing skills would be a bonus.
