Job summary

CGR Services Hastings invites two motivated individuals to join the Horticulture Team. This outdoor role offers guaranteed hours with potential increases based on demand, a performance-based salary reviewed annually, a work phone for personal use, and an annual $300 wellness benefit after qualifying period.

You will support planting, weeding, mulching, and landscaping projects while maintaining green spaces.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean and current NZ driver\'s licence with manual transmission and trailer towing ability.
• Physically fit for a physically demanding outdoor role.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help teammates.

Responsibilities

• Planting, weeding, mulching and vegetation control tasks.
• Setting up bollards, picnic tables, and park signs; sprucing up greenery.
• Working on landscaping projects like street gardens and mower operation.

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have your full NZ drivers' licence, then this role would suit you! We are looking for two motivated and energetic individuals to join our Hastings Horticulture Team.

What does a Horticulture Response Operator role involve?

Supporting your team, you will be responsible for a range of duties; from planting, weeding, mulching and vegetation control tasks to setting up bollards, picnic tables, and park signs or sprucing up greenery and working on landscaping projects like street gardens and mower operation.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally, we would love someone who has had experience in a similar role or previous experience in horticulture/landscaping/gardening. This role can be physically demanding, so physical fitness is needed. Other success factors include:

• A clean and current drivers' licence with the ability to drive a manual and tow a trailer
• Be a team player with a positive attitude - helping out your teammates needs to be second nature
• Proven experience adhering to health and safety procedures
• Self motivated with a strong desire to get the job done
