Smart Environmental is currently seeking a new Hook Truck Driver to join our Team based in Tasman.

Smart Environmental Limited works on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities across New Zealand. Acquired by Blue Planet our mission is to divert waste from landfill, and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, we are committed to driving sustainability for the communities and businesses we serve.

About the Role:

Contract Type: Permanent Full-time

Days of Work: Minimum 5 Days (Have ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holiday)

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily vehicle checks
• Logging information on Eroad driver/Logbook
• Be fully trained to safely operate one of our range of vehicles
• Adhere to all Health and Safety Procedures and Policies

Skills and Experience:

• Holds a NZ Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Truck and Trailer experience required
• Hook Truck experience is advantageous
• Health and safety conscious, promote and follow our health and safety policies.
• Confident with technology as you will be required to use a phone, tablet and in-cab navigation
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
