Haeata Community Campus has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Kaiako / teacher, for the position of Head of Learning Area (HOLA) Technology. This position attracts 1MU +1MMA and requires the successful candidate to lead the Y7–13 technology team in our vibrant learning area.

We are looking for a kaiako who is culturally aware and will enjoy working within a modern learning environment, with a focus on ākonga/ student centred learning.

The successful candidate may qualify for removal expenses as per the collective agreement, and a Board funded recruitment allowance.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • A Degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience leading collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work collaboratively with a Makerspace Technician.
  • Ability and confidence teaching Y7-13.
  • Experience in pre and post assessment procedures for NCEA.
  • Experience with planning and delivering integrated learning programmes for Y7-10.
  • A commitment to providing extra curricular opportunities for ākonga.
  • Sound organisational skills and details-oriented approach.
  • Sound communication skills to support ākonga, whānau and Kaimahi.
