Wellington Girls' College invites applications for the Head of Department: Mathematics position, commencing January 2027. You will lead an experienced, high-performing maths and statistics department spanning Years 7–15 and wharekura, with responsibilities for curriculum leadership and teaching quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Mathematics department or similar.
• Strong leadership and curriculum development skills.
• Commitment to high student achievement in senior secondary Mathematics and Statistics.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Mathematics and statistics department (Years 7–15/wharekura).
• Oversee curriculum, assessment, and teaching quality.
• Support staff development and liaise with senior leadership.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement . The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $64,000 to $107,000, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
