About the Role and Firm

Are you a high-level Auditor or experienced Senior Auditor looking to elevate your career in a dynamic, client-focused environment? My client is seeking a confident professional to join their close-knit and forward-thinking audit team, based in modern offices in the heart of Wellington.

This is a key role within a respected firm where you’ll lead complex audits, manage client relationships, and support junior team members – all while working closely with engaging Partners who are genuinely invested in your growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage external audits from planning through to final reporting
• Liaise directly with clients to build relationships and add value
• Review audit files and provide support and guidance to junior team members
• Ensure compliance with NZ auditing standards and internal quality controls
• Contribute to internal training and continuous improvement of the audit function

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of external audit experience in a New Zealand CA environment
• CA qualified (or close to it)
• Sound understanding of NZ IFRS and audit standards
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead engagements
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring juniors
• Confidence with audit software (e.g., APS, Caseware, or similar)
