Qualifications

• Experience as PSV Mechanic or similar.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence.
• HGV licence and IRTEC qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment to meet safety legislation.
• Conduct scheduled preventative inspections for compliance.
• Work with a diverse fleet from light vans to articulated vehicles.

HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500 !!

Biffa Waste - Bodmin Depot
Salary: £19.22p/h
Shift Patterns – 06:00-15:30 and 12:30-22:00

Overtime & Call Out Available

Monday to Friday (45hrs per week)

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles and waste management equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. This includes scheduled preventative inspections to ensure compliance with Biffa’s operator’s licence. Our diverse fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated assets, providing ample learning and development opportunities.

We welcome applications from professionals with experience as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic. Skilled or semi-skilled technicians interested in upskilling and career development are encouraged to apply.

• Full Level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification.
• Technician level.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence.
• HGV licence and IRTEC qualification are desirable.
