Job summary

Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd in Tauranga is opening a brand-new Truckstops Tauranga branch engineered to deliver faster, higher-quality service for truck customers. With a COF lane, two pits and eight bays, the facility provides the space and tools to perform top-grade workmanship.

Reporting to the Service Foreman, you will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, conduct routine maintenance and inspections, and mentor apprentices while embracing LEAN principles and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong commitment to safety and proactive mindset.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ideally, Class 5 license (we can help you get it!).
• NZQA LV4 in Heavy Road Transport or Heavy Plant & Equipment.
• Reliability and willingness to commit to the team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using cutting-edge diagnostic tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance, service, and inspections to keep trucks performing at their best.
• Collaborate with experienced pros and mentor apprentices.
• Adopt LEAN principles, champion Health & Safety, and uphold our Values.
• Continuously grow your own skills.
