Qualifications

About Qube

Join Our Team

We have an opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic to join our busy depot team based at our Sulphur Point depot. This is a diverse and challenging role which involves carrying out repairs, services, and maintenance on our heavy machinery such as container handlers, trucks, and other vehicles.

About The Role

This is a full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week. Hours of work are 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am to 12.00pm Saturday.

Hourly Rate Will Be Based On Qualifications/experience.

Location: Sulphur Point, Tauranga

What You’ll Do
  • Keep our fleet of trucks, container, handlers and plant machinery humming along smoothly
  • Tackle repairs, services and maintenance like a pro – Safely, efficiently.
  • Share your wisdom with apprentices and drivers.
  • Be a team player and pitch in for 24hr ‘on call’ rotations – Because breakdowns don’t keep office hours!
What We Need
  • Experience with similar heavy machinery and hydraulics to our container handlers. (If you can fix it, we want you!)
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic diagrams (or have some understanding of electrics).
  • A New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Heavy Engineering Level 4 preferred but not essential (or equivalent).
  • A full clean New Zealand Driver’s License
  • Team Spirit, Time Management, and the ability to keep cool under pressure
