Job summary

Care And Nursing in Christchurch is recruiting Healthcare Assistants to provide quality care in aged care and community settings. You will work under guidance or independently to assist with feeding, washing, and daily personal care for residents.

Responsibilities include helping with hygiene, grooming, mobility, and documenting care in resident health records. Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa; weekly pay and locally-based shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• Aged care or community care experience (Minimum 6 months)
• People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
• Experience in manual handling and infection control
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa required

About the Role

About the Role:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the guidance or independently to provide quality care. Assist with feeding and washing a patient.

Some Duties include but not limited to:

• Residents' personal care tasks i.e. hygiene, grooming, toileting
• Including mobilising, shaving, brushing of teeth and hair
• Maintain documents in resident healthcare records

What will you get:

• Choose you own available working hours for available shifts.
• Pay rate: $23.50 - $28.25 per hour - subject to completed qualifications,+ great weekends rates and night work, while keeping all your entitlements.
