ANZCO Foods Ashburton is seeking an Occupational Healthcare Coordinator to support our nursing team on site, delivering health and wellbeing services in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes early intervention, health monitoring, and injury management to ensure employee wellbeing.

You will assist with pre-employment screening, annual health monitoring, and day-to-day clinic administration while maintaining compliance and engaging staff in wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with pre-employment health screening and annual health monitoring.
  • Carry out ad hoc health assessments (blood pressure, weight, vision, etc.).
  • Support injury management and early intervention, liaising with first aiders and managers.
  • Conduct workplace drug and alcohol testing per policy.
  • Maintain accurate health records for compliance.
  • Provide a professional presence and engage employees in wellbeing initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day clinic administration, stock control, and scheduling.

We're looking for a proactive Occupational Healthcare Coordinator to join our Occupational Health care team at our Ashburton site. This role is designed to support the Registered Nurse in delivering health and wellbeing services for our employees, with a strong focus on early intervention, health monitoring, and injury management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with pre-employment health screening and annual health monitoring (hearing, lung function, vision, and safety-critical checks).
  • Carrying out ad hoc health assessments such as blood pressure and weight checks.
  • Supporting injury management and early intervention, including scheduling physiotherapy, liaising with first aiders, and keeping managers updated on recovery progress.
  • Conducting workplace drug and alcohol testing in line with company policy.
  • Maintaining accurate health records to ensure compliance with internal and legislative requirements.
  • Providing a professional and approachable presence to engage employees in health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Managing day-to-day clinic administration, stock control, and scheduling.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a healthcare, occupational health, or wellbeing support role (clinical or non-clinical background will be considered).
  • Strong organisational and administration skills, with attention to detail.
  • A friendly, approachable, and professional manner with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Confidence to work both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety, injury management, or employee wellbeing initiatives would be an advantage.
  • The ability to adapt and stay organised in a busy, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
