Job summary

Kaan's is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to provide dedicated support across the business, reporting to the Operations Manager, Team Leaders and staff. The role focuses on fostering a positive safety culture, identifying hazards and ensuring robust safety systems are followed in a busy operation.

You will work closely with Team Leaders and employees to promote safe practices, coordinate risk assessments and incident investigations, and support ACC and return-to-work processes in a practical,

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety Officer/Coordinator/Advisor roles.
• Knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience with hazard management and incident investigations.
• Strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.
• Practical, solutions-focused with balance to operational realities.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Health & Safety plan across the business.
• Identify hazards, assess risks and strengthen H&S practices.
• Coordinate hazard and incident management, investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve H&S and wellbeing systems and processes.
• Support legislative compliance, injury management and effective return-to-work processes.
