Te Tūranga /About the Role:

Silver Fern Farms Finegand has an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about leading health and safety practices at our site. This is a permanent position based at our Finegand site in Balclutha.

Preferably, you will have primary industry or food processing experience or transferable experience from a hands-on role, making you comfortable in our factory environment. As an experienced Advisor, you will lead all aspects of Health & Safety processes, including incident learning opportunities, risk assessments, administration of Health & Safety systems, overseeing H&S Reps, injury management oversight, education, and reporting to site management.

You will serve as the main link between corporate health and safety and the site. Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and relationship-building abilities are essential to drive change.

This role is critical in ensuring the site’s health & safety procedures comply with current legislation and in providing guidance on health and wellbeing for the people at Silver Fern Farms Finegand.
