Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach for our client, a high-performance sports institute in Queenstown. You will design and lead comprehensive S&C programs, assess athletes, and tailor training plans to sport demands while mentoring junior coaches.

Applicants should have a Master's in a related field, 7+ years in S&C with 3+ in leadership, and CSCS/ASCA credentials. Strong biomechanics knowledge, rehab collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing development are

Qualifications

Master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Physiology, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in strength and conditioning, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead coaching role.
Accreditation from a recognized professional body (e.g., CSCS, ASCA Level 2/3).
Extensive knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, periodization, and program design.
Proven experience in working with elite or professional athletes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and supervise comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for athletes.
Conduct athlete assessments, including movement screening, performance testing, and body composition analysis.
Develop individualized training plans based on athlete needs, sport-specific demands, and performance goals.
Monitor athlete training loads, recovery, and progress using appropriate tracking methods.
Educate athletes on proper exercise technique, injury prevention strategies, and nutritional principles.
Lead and mentor junior strength and conditioning coaches, fostering their professional development.
Collaborate with sports medicine staff to manage athlete rehabilitation and return-to-sport protocols.
Ensure the safe and effective use of all training equipment and facilities.
Stay current with the latest research and best practices in strength and conditioning science.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the institute's overall performance strategy.
Maintain accurate records of athlete training data and program outcomes.
