Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation invites applications for a Superintendent—Procurement & Supply Chain to lead our New Zealand operations in Otago. You will provide strategic leadership across procurement, sourcing, contract administration, inventory management, warehousing and logistics to deliver value and supply assurance.

The role requires governance, risk and compliance focus, strong stakeholder engagement and a track record of improving service levels and reducing total cost of ownership across

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics / Distribution / Supply Chain Management or similar.
• Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
• Previous management and supervisory experience is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of managing purchasing, warehousing and logistics is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Group Procurement to implement enterprise procurement strategies, category plans and sourcing initiatives in New Zealand operations.
• Identify and deliver sustainable commercial value through strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, demand management, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Lead business improvement programmes that enhance service levels, reduce total cost of ownership, optimise working capital and improve supply chain resilience.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier risks and industry developments to proactively manage supply challenges and opportunities.
• Provide strategic commercial advice and support to operational leaders on procurement, contracting, inventory and supply chain matters.
• Partner with Group Procurement on sourcing, tendering and contract management activities, ensuring local requirements are represented.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to improve performance, outcomes, and supply assurance.
• Ensure effective management of transportation, logistics and warehousing activities.
• Lead inventory optimisation initiatives to improve asset availability and reduce stock-outs.
• Ensure compliant materials planning processes across operations.
