Shape the future of public sector engagement across Aotearoa New Zealand

Seeking a dynamic and goal-driven professional with a passion for business development and relationship management to help us transform our interaction and engagement with the Public Sector across New Zealand.ABOUT THE ROLE - MŌ TĒ TŪNGA

As theHead of Public Sector Engagement, you will lead the go-to-market strategy and strengthen key relationships within New Zealand’s Public Sector by driving member engagement and identifying new opportunities. You'll ensure consistent stakeholder engagement, support internal teams, and deliver value that boosts member outcomes and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute strategic public sector engagement plans to effectively deliver business development and financial targets
  • Lead internal and external working groups and initiatives to deliver member value and revenue results
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior public sector stakeholders
  • Local, Regional and National focus - enhance member interactions to boost satisfaction and growth by engaging at events, conferences, and panels
  • Gather insights to inform advocacy and service improvements

ABOUT YOU-HE KŌRERO MŌU

You will need to be a self-starter, seasoned relationship manager with experience driving strategic sales, business development, and customer satisfaction. You will excel in stakeholder management, quickly build rapport, and influence senior decision-makers. With deep public sector knowledge and networks, you’re commercially astute, strong in problem-solving and thrive in fast-paced environments. You will bring:

  • Significant Sales / Relationship Management experience
  • Proven experience developing and delivering key strategic plans
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills at a senior level with the ability to influence, negotiate and quickly build rapport and credibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Solid industry networks and understanding of the public sector would be valued
  • CA qualification or exposure to the accounting profession preferred, but not essential
