Job summary

Halter is seeking a Production Process leader to build the team, establish operating cadence, and set standards for stable, scalable production outcomes across lines.

You will hire and coach the Production Process team, translate strategy into quarterly priorities, own execution, and drive cross-functional alignment with Quality, Supply Chain, Design, and Manufacturing to deliver measurable FPY improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing/process engineering teams in a high-velocity production environment.
• Strong ability to set standards, coach engineers, and create leverage through others.
• Comfortable making trade-offs between velocity and rigour, with strong judgement on when to elevate risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Production Process team: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance, feedback, and career growth.
• Translate production engineering strategy into clear quarterly priorities, project plans, and ownership across the team.
• Own process engineering execution across assigned lines/products, ensuring the team improves FPY, throughput, cycle time, rework, and escape prevention.
• Create a high-performance operating cadence for priorities, project reviews, escalation paths, risk visibility, documentation quality, and follow-through.
• Set standards for process validation, readiness evidence, work instructions, training, process controls, and reaction plans.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Design, Test, and Machine Design so changes land quickly and safely on the line.
• Coach engineers to solve from first principles, bring data-backed recommendations, and own outcomes end-to-end.
• Make balanced trade-offs between velocity and rigour, escalating only the highest-risk calls.
• Build team capability and leverage faster than headcount growth.
