Job description
Overview

We are a Catholic, state-integrated, co-ed school for Y7 to 13, in the Marist tradition. Full time, permanent position commencing term 1, 2026.

Role

Head of Learning, Religious Studies. This is a tagged (Cl 47) position. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced Religious Studies teacher, leading the Religious Studies department.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the Religious Studies department, including curriculum development and student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school.
  • Collaborate with school leadership on teaching and learning initiatives and departmental planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualified and registered teacher with relevant experience in Religious Studies.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction in line with the school’s character (tagged position).
Salary and Terms

The terms and conditions, including base salary, are set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary in 2026 for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on qualifications and experience. Individual salary will be established by a salary assessment once the role is confirmed.
