Overview

Role and responsibilities

As head of our mathematics faculty, you will be an expert classroom practitioner, an empathetic and effective mentor of teachers, and an astute and knowledgeable curriculum leader. You will have the mana, confidence, and energy to lead change while providing stability and consistency. You will have a demonstrated commitment to your own professional development and the demonstrated ability to lead maths-specific professional development for others. As a member of the school’s senior leadership team, you will be expected to live the school’s values, work collegially and constructively across the school, and be a role model to all staff in the way you conduct yourself.

Terms and conditions

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

All staff are expected to contribute to the school’s extensive co-curricular programme.

Timings

The position commences term 1, 2026.
