Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located near Long Bay Beach and Long Bay Village. Established in 1975, the school has approximately 1800 students and a staff of 150 teachers and support personnel.

We are seeking an exceptional leader for our Faculty of English. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong classroom teaching skills and expertise in curriculum design. They will value knowledge-rich approaches and cognitive science-informed pedagogy, with the ability to foster professional growth within the team both individually and collectively.

Our offerings include English Scholarship, English, and English Literacy pathways, emphasizing high academic achievement through collaborative practice. Our Junior English program provides a knowledge and skills-rich foundation for NCEA co-requisite and senior courses, including NZQA Scholarships.

The base salary for qualified and registered teachers ranges from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on qualifications and experience. The final salary will be determined through a salary assessment upon confirmation of the role.
