  • Drive brand growth and market presence through innovative, customer-focused campaigns and strategic insights.

About us:

As a distributor, we take responsibility for a brand in a given market. This means managing vehicles and parts on behalf of an OEM from the factory gate or port, and then taking care of every part of the value chain, from logistics to sales to end users. We also provide Value Added Services for customers throughout the lifecycle of a vehicle.

This position leads the multi-brand marketing strategy for Inchcape New Zealand, overseeing brand growth, product launches, advertising, sponsorships, and customer engagement across Subaru, KGM, and LDV. It drives integrated, omni-channel communications that reflect each brand’s values, delivers measurable results, and supports overall business growth. As a senior leadership team member, the role also plays a pivotal part in shaping long-term strategic direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution and execution of Inchcape’s branded house strategy and individual brand worlds. Lead integrated brand and model communication campaigns to strengthen brand equity, enhance reputation, and deliver commercial results for Subaru, LDV, and KGM.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience and Digital teams to deliver cohesive omni-channel strategies across digital and physical touchpoints. Drive performance in CRO, SEO, CRM, social, and in-store media to enhance the customer experience.
  • Work closely with Research and Insights teams to inform strategy, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and present Post Implementation Reviews. Use data to identify trends, optimise future activity, and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Lead product launches, model positioning, and promotional initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Dealer networks across Subaru, LDV, and KGM, including the development of POS materials and omni-channel assets aligned with business goals.
  • Manage and mentor the brand communications team, supporting performance through the One Inchcape Framework. Lead agency collaboration across media and creative, ensuring alignment with marketing strategy and execution excellence.
  • Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring efficient investment across media, production, and sponsorships. Track brand metrics including equity, consideration, and engagement, with a focus on innovation, measurable impact, and long-term growth.

About you:

  • Extensive senior-level experience in consumer marketing, with a track record of delivering integrated campaigns, managing large brand portfolios, and executing complex projects across multiple channels.
  • Strong business insight with the ability to plan, manage, and optimise marketing initiatives, sponsorships, and agency partnerships to meet business objectives and maximise ROI.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required; experience in automotive, FMCG, consumer electronics, or luxury brands is highly desirable.

Benefits:

  • Enjoy a range of employee benefits including a car rental program, purchase discounts, annual flu vaccinations, and a comprehensive wellbeing program.
