Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora's Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery team at Christchurch Hospital offers a 12-month Fellowship to develop advanced subspecialty practice. The ORL Fellow will provide high-quality care across the service, with exposure to complex head and neck pathology and opportunities for independent operating alongside supervised sessions.

Qualifications

Be a registered medical practitioner with higher qualifications in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Hold, or be eligible to obtain, registration to practise in New Zealand.
Have demonstrated experience in Otolaryngology and an interest in developing your expertise in Head and Neck Surgery.
Be committed to continued learning and development, with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care across our service with exposure to a broad range of head and neck cases.
Undertake scheduled outpatient clinics and have opportunities to run your own operating lists.
Collaborate with Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery colleagues on complex cases.
Contribute to teaching and supervision of advanced trainees and participate in on-call duties.
